St. Margaret's Riverfront and Promenade

Improvements to this stretch of the river have included upgrading lighting, bins and benches. The distinctive iron railings along the riverfront have been restored where needed by contractors and maintained with the help of community service workers from the Probation Service's Payback Scheme. The colour used on the railings was carefully chosen to complement the patination of the bronze on Twickenham Road Bridge.
